Japanese Occupation of Russian Territory
Money to be issued in the event of the successful Japanese occupation of the Eastern most territories of the Soviet Union, which bordered the Japanese Empire.
The invasion plans were abandoned as the Asia-Pacific War progressed, and the situation deteriorated for the Japanese. Towards the end of the war most of the stocks of these unissued notes were destroyed, though a few were rescued.
